 Why should you let us repair your dolls? 

Along with the voice repair we offer, at no additional charge:

  • Clean your doll inside and out, including brush her hair.
  • Replace ring and pull string.
  • Shim the limbs of the doll so it will be able to hold a pose.
  • We chemically seal the seams to almost look like the factory original.  No glue is used in any form to seal the seams.

We also repair other types of dolls, including:

  • Mrs. Beasley
  • Drowsy
  • And other cloth body dolls with pull strings

We are a full service voice repair hospital for dolls and 1960’s pull string talkers. We also sell Chatty Cathy dolls, Chatty Cathy Clothing, new and vintage dolls and doll kitchen sets.

We accept Layaways at anytime.  We ask that you pay half now and we will contact you to set up further payment options.  If the Layaway is cancelled, we will refund the amount to you less 10% cancellation fee.

Most people call this doll the Italian Chatty Cathy,. but in fact she actually is called Valentina made by the Furga Company in Italy. Inside she has the Mattel black talk box in which the record says "Valentina Mattel 1963" and she does speak Italian. I did purchase this doll right out of Italy. She is 24 inches tall and has a vinyl face with plastic legs and arms. Her torso is made of hard plastic and she has screws that hold the body together. This doll was so fun to take pictures of because her face is just so adorable. She has the cutest pinch-able cheeks and a mouth that looks like she is puckering up for a kiss. Her full set of sable eyelashes sit above the light green eyes which are the pinwheel style that do not blink. Her face and body is very pink like most the Furga dolls are noted for. I think her best feature is her long platinum hair that is cut into a layered look. When I first touched her hair I was surprised to find how soft it is. It is softer than any other dolls hair that I have touched. It could be saran and if so it still is shiny like the new hair I have seen. She is missing about 6 plugs on the front row at the side. I did not find any more plugs missing but I have noted the hair is sparsely rooted in the back making it look like some is missing or cut. It is NOT!
I have dressed her in a long sleeve maroon velvet dress that has a bow and rose at the bodice. It is a little large for her so I did need to pin it. She has on new white lace socks with attached roses on the side and a pair of black shoes. I am including a pair of shoes that I think are original to her but one buckle is broken. I did not want to throw them away since her new Mommy might want them.

Extremely rare front bang Singing Chatty Cathy. This doll is rare for two reasons. First is the rooting of the hair which is rooted on top, down the middle and further back into a "T." On top she has a longer tuft of hair which is put into a bow with a replaced ribbon. I have pictures to show you just how it is rooted. Second reason is she has the more rare torso as seen in photos(torso with the short flat neck and is light pink) and comes with the record that talks besides singing and will say "I am singing Chatty will you sing with me". She will also say " I like popcorn" after she sings,"pop goes the weasel." Singing has green pinwheel eyes but has some of her eyelashes that are pushed back into the eye. They are not missing or cut but tend to retract when touched. Her facial paint is all there with her two bright pink cheeks and soft pink lips. She also has all of her freckles and eyebrows. Body color is peachy and has one very small light red stain on the upper thigh and tiny small dot on her right elbow. Most sellers would not even tell you these small flaws, I just wanted you to know all about this doll. She is exquisite and I was so surprised of her rarity when I found her. Singing is completely original wearing her original red dress, red panties, white socks and red shoes. Clothing could use a rinse but I will leave that up to you.
